The need is so great in the Holy Land! Many people, especially children, are suffering due to the current economic and political situation.
The name of the ministry is Ramallah Christian Outreach (RCO). Ramallah Christian Outreach consists of a Christian boys' home (Home of New Life), assistance to children/families in the community and various outreach programs for both believers and non-believers. The Home of New Life was established to provide a secure, loving home for deprived Palestinian children whose families were unable to provide for their basic necessities. The children receive shelter; food, education and medical/dental care as well as care for their spiritual, physical and emotional needs. The goal of the ministry is to help the children grow in a secure environment, full of love and support, which will help prepare them to become educated, productive members of society ready to contribute back to their families, churches, communities and country.
In the years that RCO has been in operations, the Home of New Life has grown from a vision to a successful ministry. Many churches agreed with my vision of establishing an orphanage for the destitute families in the West Bank and Gaza Strip. With their collective resources, I was able to open the doors of the Home; the orphanage is now home to 9 children, which is close to capacity for the current facilities. Also, we have sponsors for needy children outside of the Home.
The Home offers many educational supplemental programs to the boys such as computer-training, social interaction skills, tutoring, enrichment activities, voice / instrumental instruction, physical education, and other life-learning skills.
The genuine love and care shown to the boys is evident in their progress. Many boys have come to the home emotionally scarred by the violence, poverty and lack of attention; however with perseverance and determination, they have improved tremendously. The children are self-confident, eager to learn, and have hope for their future. God is working in their hearts to change the direction of their lives.
In addition to the children living at the Home of New Life, Ramallah Christian Outreach assists children and their families in the local community. The ministry has helped many children from diverse religious and family backgrounds with educational assistance, food assistance, recreational activities and counseling.
Unfortunately, many Christians are suffering as well. With the limited resources available, the ministry offers the same assistance with food, educational / recreational activities, counseling and visitations. At times, it has become necessary to provide monetary assistance to our brothers and sisters in Christ due to the extreme economic hardships that they are experiencing due to the unstable political situation.
The faithful supporters have greatly impacted and changed lives in the Holy Land. Due to their giving, Christians have been able to meet their physical needs as well as strengthening their spiritual ones. The Christian children in Ramallah are suffering in silence, and I would ask that you would consider partnering with Ramallah Christian Outreach and Home of New Life to encourage their faith and hope in Jesus while caring for their basic necessities.
I am pleased to write, on behalf of RCO / HNL, seeking assistance in the current and the fiscal year 2006. These monies will enable the ministry to be more effective in providing better care for these needy children. The ministry has many short-term projects that would benefit from this as well. The following is a chart of how the money would be allotted.
Project Amount Tuition for School $7,000 / year Initial School Expenses $2,000 / year Rental Expense for Facilities $ 11,800 / year Operating Wages for Orphanage Staff $12,000 / year Funds for Needy Children/Families $10,000 Construction of Add'l Bathroom $2,500 Drainage Maintenance (Gutters) $1,500 Computers for Educational Purposes $1,500 Church/Orphanage Doors, church windows $2,000
We rely upon the Lord to meet our obligations, and all monies received are invested into RCO/HNL. If resources are available and the Lord leads, Ramallah
Christian Outreach & Home of New Life can benefit greatly with financial
assistance.
As a pastor of two churches in the Holy Land and the director of the Home of New Life, my life is devoted to serving God. My heart is heavy for the children who suffer because they cannot help themselves. With the Lord's help, I am dedicated in seeking even greater things for the children of Ramallah.
Even more, children are in need of a secure, loving environment to grow and prosper; my vision is to provide a Home with two wings-one for the girls, one for the boys. The new orphanage would have a capacity for 60 boys and girls. Although I would love to have this as a short-term goal, I realize that resources are needed to do this.
Long-Term Projects Amount Needed Building Fund $350,000 Land Fund (2 dunanms = 1 1/3 acre) $150,000 RCO / HNL has raised over $37,000 towards our building fund. We are excited to see how the Lord will provide the additional resources. These children deserve love, care and attention with every opportunity for a bright future; please consider investing in the children of the Holy Land. RCO / HNL is a non-profit, non-political, Christian organization which is registered with the Palestinian Ministry of Interior as well as the Internal Revenue Service in America. All donations are tax-deductible and will receive a tax-receipt in a timely manner. All decisions for RCO / HNL are agreed upon under the direction of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors, both in America and on the mission field, meet throughout the year to plan and account for the direction of the ministry.
The President of Ramallah Christian Outreach is Rev. Munir Kakish. While on the mission field, Rev. Kakish is working on his Dr. Min. Degree from International Seminary, and he holds a Master's Degree from Wheaton College and received Bachelor of Art's in Communications and a Bachelor of Religious Education. He has over 28 years on the mission field as a pastor and founder/director of orphanages. Since Rev. Munir Kakish grew up in an orphanage, his experience is invaluable and extremely helpful.
Upon your review, please feel free to contact us for any questions or concerns. If you desire to review our extended ministry proposal, please contact Pastor Munir Kakish at pastorkakish@hnilfe.org. Thank you for your consideration, and may the Lord bless you.
