Dear Partners,
Thank you for your interest in the Home of New Life and sponsoring a child from the Holy Land. I am so blessed to be a part of this ministry, and I would like to share with you the background of the children's home, its purpose as well as the vision the Lord has given me for the needy and impoverished children of the Holy Land.
Many families in the Holy Land are unable to provide the basic necessities for their children due to the death of a parent, high unemployment and the continual economic and political tensions. Children are in great need of love, security, and opportunities for a brighter future. The Home provides a loving Christian environment that meets the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of the children. We provide shelter, clothing, Christian schooling, and all other needs. Unfortunately, the tension in the West Bank and Gaza Strip has created an increase in divorce rates – resulting in children being part of dysfunctional families. Thankfully, the Home can be an effective ways to raise Christian leaders.
When I was 10 years old, I was sent to a Christian boys’ home. I accepted Christ as my Savior while I was there. Soon afterwards, I heard the call of God to the ministry. Many of the Christian leaders in our area were raised in Christian boys’ homes like the one in which I was raised. God gave me a vision to open a home to provide Christian training and demonstrate Christian love. God spoke to my heart to provide care and love for the children of the Holy Land. Each year more children are in desperate need of care. Right now, we have a limited capacity. However, my goal is to raise funds to build a girls’ and boys’ home with housing for 60 children. This will help address the dire need for assistance.
To sponsor a child, it is $35/month. Individuals, churches, Sunday school classes, Bible study groups, and even schools have the opportunity to invest in a child. Many sponsors give beyond that amount which is an enormous blessing for us. In addition, we assist some children living in their own environment. Many families are able to function with some assistance, and the Home of New Life has been able to sponsor children living at home but needing extra monthly help to get by.
We would like you to sponsor a child, and strongly encourage you to pray and write to your sponsored child. The children are motivated and blessed knowing that others care for them. Each month you will receive a contribution statement that you can retain for tax purposes. Thank you.
